Fall Preview

Fall has arrived, in all her glory! The leaves are turning, the air is cooler. The days grow shorter. Fall is a wonderful time of year with its own palette of colors, aromas and things to celebrate. This is just a little preview of fall in North Georgia.

Usually, the first signs of fall begin with leaves changing color.
Pumpkin patches become 'the place' to go. In early fall, the weather is still nice enough for short sleeves.
Hardy flowers continue to bloom though the days grow cooler.
Trees begin revealing their alter-egos.  Some yellow...

...some red.

Creative people make 'centerpieces' for their driveways.
Animals start getting fat and fuzzy!

The creek waters grow very chilly! Just below this point in the Chattahoochee, tubers in neon pink and green inner tubes float lazily with the stream. But the cool air and icy waters bring that summer treat to a screeching halt!
